College Youth Ideathon Notifications

Official Notification: Declaration of CYI 2025 Top 100 Teams for Grand Finale
We are pleased to announce the Top 100 teams selected for the Grand Finale of the SBI College Youth Ideathon (CYI) 2025, jointly organized by IIT Delhi, MEPSC, and ThinkStartup.
 
After an intensive multi-stage evaluation process, a total of 112 teams representing 119 colleges from 62 cities across India have been selected. These teams will now participate in the Grand Finale scheduled on 5th–6th April 2025 at IIT Delhi.
 
This year, CYI received an overwhelming response with over 15,000 idea submissions from 44,000+ college students across the country. The Top 100 teams were shortlisted based on:
 
  • Video pitch submissions evaluated independently by five expert judges, including startup founders, angel investors, CXOs, professors, and mentors.
  • Social Proof scores, measuring the engagement and reach of each team’s pitch on YouTube and Instagram, ensuring that public appeal and communication clarity were considered.
  •  
As a token of encouragement and support, each selected team will receive a Rs. 5,000 prototyping grant to enhance their innovation. This amount shall be consumed for product / startup development.
 
Next Steps for Selected Teams
 
All Top 100 teams are now required to:
 
1. List their product/service on www.TheYouthCompany.in
  • Teams may sell their offering or raise investments through the platform.
  • This step serves as a real-world market validation of their idea.
 
2. Participate in the CYI Grand Finale Showcase and Pitch Round at IIT Delhi on 5th–6th April. Be ready to make multiple pitches to multiple judges.
 
3. Compete for the Top 15 position based on a combination of pitch performance and market traction (sales/investments via TheYouthCompany.in), 15 teams will be selected to pitch before a Grand Jury of VCs and founders.
 
4. Top 10 Awards
The most outstanding innovations and startups will be recognized at the Valedictory Ceremony on 6th April 2025 with Rs. 1 Lakh Grant.
 
 
For Teams That Didn’t Make It: “Top 100 Challengers” Track
 
For promising teams who believe in their idea but didn’t make it to the Top 100, CYI introduces a second chance:
 
  • Teams can still list their innovation on TheYouthCompany.in
  • The Top 25 performers from this track (based on sales or investments) will be invited to participate in the Grand Finale
  • This track ensures that market validation can open new doors, even beyond the jury’s decision
